34 Weeks w the Twins

I'm confident in saying 34 weeks (and 3 days) with twins is like 42 weeks with a singleton. I literally can't sit straight up so getting out of bed involves a very unattractive rolling maneuver. I've got three doctors appointments per week that leave me tired and stressed out. I'm up 4-5 times a nite and fear I'll never sleep well again. Because c'mon it only gets worse when the twins arrive right? I'm eating 4-5 honey crisp apples per day. I don't know what's wrong with me, I CAN NOT STOP. Actually I can't stop eating in general. The babies weigh around 5.8  & 5.13 and I'm sure I've gained over 40lbs. I've stopped counting. Frequently asked questions: Yes, I'm still working and no I'm not on bed rest. Lucky for me I make my own schedule so there are def days when I come home early to nap. I've had weekly milestones to make it to 28 weeks, 32 weeks, next up is 35!! Baby A is still breech & B is vertex which means I'm scheduled for a c-section on 3.21 if they don't come before. My birthday is the 20th and Wes' is the 15th. So YAHHHH for all the birthdays in the same week. We were trying for a Fall baby. #fail My husband has been incredible taking on dinner time, bath time, hanging my random nesting projects and keeping my apple supply stocked up! Today is actually the anniversary of our first date. Leap Year Love!!!

Spring So Far

Spring has already been such a mish mash of goodness. Celebrating my bday at The Guild House, an amazing day at the Columbus Museum of Art. It's meant short sleeves one day & winter coats the next. Digging for warms & playing with friends at the park!! Even a girls nite watching Pitch Perfect.
So good, totally Bring It On for show choir. Loved it!!

Detroit Birthday Bash

Happiest 40th birthday to my handsome husband. Bowling & Cars was the theme of the FOUR day 40th extravaganza. First we bowled & partied with friends, family & Cards Against Humanity. Need I say more? The kids stayed with Gma & Pop, so Sunday morning we headed to the Westin in Downtown Detroit. Thanks to a friend from high school who is a big wig at GM, we got to explore the city in a 6 speed Cadillac CTS V & get a private tour of GM's private collection at the Heritage Center. Despite the whiplash it was AMAZING!!!! We would go back to Detroit & stay downtown again in a minute!!!  Make sure you hit up Slows BBQ in Corktown while wearing your baggiest clothes. Or you can end up like us, spending the rest of the day with your pants unbuttoned. Also prepare to unbutton if you brunch at Toast. Biscuits & Gravy for the win.

Easy Breezy

After last weeks cancelled date nite & a week filled w shrieking babies, we were beyond thrilled to get out last nite. Perhaps not the most energetic we've ever been, but thrilled none the less. Dinner  on the patio at Rusty Bucket & the new Transformers movie. I usually love Transformers but this was prob my least fav. It went on FOREVER. If you're excited about the dinobots prepare to wait since they don't show up until the last ten minutes. Nerd le sigh.
This is the dress I ordered during the 4th of July ASOS sale, my 1st ever ASOS purchase. It's like wearing a T-shirt. A short one. lol It shipped super fast, too. I think I got it in three days!!!

We Heart Box

I had every intent to leave the house this weekend. A scheduled play date, visions of the pool, the park, maybe the library....aaaaand nothing. Not a one. Play date canceled because our friends have summer colds. Wesley laid down at 10:45am and slept until 2pm both days!!!!!!!  Of course Mia's nap is in the afternoon. Soooo we played on this really sweet fan box. ALL WEEKEND. It was a boat, a slide, a train & a clubhouse.
I am totally obsessed with the smiley faces Mia paints & draws. She puts them on everything & they never fail to make me smile. Luckily daddy came home & broke up our box obsession with a ride on the Weehoo, this time with both babies. I wasn't sure how Wesley would react to his big bike helmet but he just kept touching his head saying "hat, hat."

I Am The Walrus

To celebrate Father's Day & my mom's birthday we went to Bigger Than Jesus at the Shadowbox last night. Thirty-Three Beatles songs, sung by all different members of the cast accompanied by lots of old Beatlemania footage. We loved it!!! This was our first trip to Shadowbox since it moved to the new Front St. location. Parking was easy, the food was yummy & our bottle of Kendall Jackson was delicious. If I had to choose a favorite Beatles song I'm leaning towards Come Together. What's yours?
Damon was starving  last nite & the grumpy woman behind me said my camera was distracting her. I made up for lack of Shadowbox pics by making Tony snap a few of my fav new Madewell skirt in after we splurged on Jeni's ice cream. I abandoned my beloved almond butter brittle for the first time in forever, for a scoop of lavender. Simple & perfect!!!!   I pretty much love how nerdy my new glasses make me look. Or rather how they show everyone the true me. NERDY!!!!!
