Wyatt & Grayson: 11 Months

The babies were officially diagnosed with allergies to peanuts, almonds & cashews. We were advised to avoid all tree nuts as a precaution. I'm having a really hard time with it.  I can't help but read stories like Oakley's and suddenly feel like that could be my child at any moment. I'm not kidding when I tell you everything has peanut in it. I mean seriously, Keebler's Cheddar Crackers, why in god's name do you need to contain peanut flour?  I'm anxiously waiting for the cure  the allergists say IS COMING, in the form of OIT, a patch or maybe even a vaccine! In the mean time we keep our Epi Pens close & pray no well meaning someone gives our a babies a bite of contaminated food. Wyatt (Left) Grayson ( Right)
Grayson has one lonely bottom tooth that has just barely popped through. He learned to wave & always has his hand in his mouth.Wyatt has no teeth & loves worm crawling around the house as fast as possible. I layed him on his Boppy with a bottle, ran down to grab his bro & came up to find him gone. He had crawled into our bedroom & I nearly died from a heart attack seeing the empty Boppy. He loves to lay head to head  & stoke/yank our hair. When he smiles he wrinkles his whole face.
After a bout of sickness they were both back to waking multiple times a nite. After two nites of me blocking them out with my rainy nites white noise on Youtube they are back to mostly sleeping from 6:30 to 5:30am. Grayson is always the first one up. We love playing peek a boo & their gummy happy grins melt this tired mama's heart every day. It's hard to believe we are in first birthday party planning mode already. It takes two to make a thing goooooo right!!

Creekside Adventures

I missed my babies all week, so I'm super stoked for the 3 day holiday weekend. Sadly this is one of the busiest work weekends for Damon & we won't get to see him much the next two days. This morning Allison & I took the kids to Creekside in Gahanna. We ate macaroons & cupcakes (vegan for Mia) before lunch, ran through the woods & dipped our toes in the creek. We saw the giant swan, ducks, turtles & frogs. The babies stopped to admire all the tiny bugs & tried to keep up with the big kids. I just tried to keep Wes alive. I had to run the 400 meter dash several times to keep him out of the water or from running down the path in the opposite direction. You know, the joys of taking a two year old out of the house! Another Creekside adventure here. Our treats are from here.

Sugar Magnolia

Last weekend my friend Allison & I took our kids to Goodale Park.  It was good in that we got some gorgeous pictures with the magnolias blooming like mad. It was bad because the kids hadn't napped. They ran around, totally not listening, eating macaroons for dinner and lying face down on the ground screaming bloody murder when it was time to go. That was my kid. It's a miracle we survived!! This was also the day I tried my first ever Dutch braid!!! Super perfect for chasing kiddos on a windy, park day!!! P.S Dance your way into the weekend w a little Grateful Dead Sugar Magnolia!!!!
You can see some of the pics I took of her & her beautiful babes on my Facebook page Lizbonj Photography!!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Wesley David

My Sweetest Boy,
From the moment you were born you've been a constant joy. Your  loving nature brightens our days. Hugs, snuggles, & lots of I Luh Yous!!! You are counting to ten & singing the ABCs. You want to do everything your big sister does. Including throwing tantrums, eating dried mangoes & lots of coloring.
You constantly make us laugh, toddling around singing Let It Go or demanding to push your mini vacuum around. You weigh 25 lbs wear 24 months/2t & a size 7 shoe. You say please, thank you & sorry after you've slapped someone in the face or bitten your sister!!!! You had a blast celebrating your birthday. You finally got to watch Planes Fire & Rescue with your beloved Dusty Crophopper. We had balloons & dinner with Grandma & Grandpa. It was perfect.
I loved watching you love the day.

Disney on Ice

My friend Esther called me on Saturday with two extra tickets to Disney on Ice. I was super excited because I had wanted to go, but never quite pulled the trigger on buying the tix. I knew it would be a perfect mother/daughter date. The nite before I told Mia I had a surprise for her. She guessed, A trip to the ice cream store? A new toy? A trip to Disney World?  She was sort of close!!!
She loved seeing the characters & kept saying she wanted to give them hugs. She would yell, Hi Barbie, like Barbie was there just for her. Those moments of love and the innocence that shine only from children  are my favorite.

Xoxo Little Boy

Being the second baby is hard. Especially when your big sister is a super needy, drama queen. We try really hard to make sure Wes knows how special & not be constantly over shadowed.. Tonite it was a special Dusty Crophopper airplane from daddy & the bath all to himself from mom. I can't tell you the last time he had the tub to himself. It's the littlest things that make the difference.  Love you tons big boy!!! xoxoxox

Lucky They Are So Cute

Oh, you know. Just a lil pre-date espresso before his cute friend Rory came over!!!! Five minutes ago I told Damon I don't think I can live in Ohio for the rest of my life. The not being able to go outside for four months is a killer. I am SOOOO grumpy. My kids have been out of control. It's one of those hide in the closet & eat 10 cadbury eggs days. Except I'm too cold to leave my house to buy some. Luckily Friday's date night dinner was Matt the Miller chips & chocolate cake. That's it. That's all I ordered. It was perfect!!! American Sniper was sold out:( The next morning on binged on Scandal Season 3 since I had the house all to myself.

Stay my Baby Forever

Every morning she wakes up asking if she's four yet.  "No baby, your birthday's in April." She'll say "But mom look at my legs, they grew sooo long last nite." The more she begs to grow up the more I'm wishing she would stay three forever. These are the days that she loves me best. The days filled with Octonauts, chutes+ladder and our new favorite Freckleface Strawberry.
