Lynds & The Twins
So these pictures are totally my favorite. As soon as we found out we were having twins I knew I wanted to do announcement pic at Lynds. It's our family tradition to go each year around Damon's birthday to pick apples. I thought welcoming the twins on one of our favorite days would be perfect. And it was in it's own imperfect way. Damon always hates having his picture taken, so rushing out the door to do so after a stressful day at work is not ideal. Wesley and Mia couldn't hold still for the life of them. As demonstrated by the shot of me grabbing Wes by the back of his shirt as he tries to sprint away. But Damon showed up & the kids were beyond excited. Mia thinks we should name the babies Robert & Steve if they're boys which made Damon & I cry laughing. I can't even imagine the chaos next years pic will be and I can NOT WAIT!! We weren't expecting you babies, but we can't wait for you to complete our family.

It's NOT A Perfect Life
Lately I'm seeing some serious backlash against the mommy blogs. Ripping on them for portraying too perfect a life. Kids too well dressed, houses too clean, bodies too fit. I call bullshit. We all know that being a mom is a hair pulling, heart breaking job. It gives you headaches, hemorrhoids & chronic heartburn. It also makes you want to be better. To learn & grow yourself, so you can teach these sweet babies to be the best that they can be. SO WHAT! if the mommy bloggers take pictures of the quinoa they made on Sunday not the hot dog they served on Monday. We all still know the hot dog happens eventually. If all anyone ever posted was how shitty their day was no one would want to read. I blog because I love taking pictures of my family. In 30 years I want to remember the everyday moments that get lost in the monotony of raising 2 little kids while trying to work full time & love on my husband. I read blogs for inspiration and come away realizing we're all carrying the same burdens.
I CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY. PINTEREST FOREVER!!!

Please Excuse my Ridiculous Rant
I gained 35 lbs pregnant with Wesley. A few pounds less than with Mia. 3.5months post partum & I've only lost half that. I am pretty sure that initial half I lost the day I gave birth. Which has lead me to be frustrated with my body lately. Really body, no change in 3 months? I keep trying to remind myself it took ten months to get that way & will prob take at least that or even longer to get back to kind of normal. As normal as an I have two babies body can be for anyone who isn't a Victoria's Secret Angel.
I try to ease my love handle annoyance by shopping, adding pieces to the three wardrobes I must maintain as a Mom... I often have to explain to my husband that a mom needs 3 full wardrobes. First is my skinny Lizbon wardrobe. Enough said. Next comes the I've lost half the baby weight but still can't get a leg in my skinny jeans wardrobe. Oh yes, and all my shirts must allow access for my super sweet breast pump fall into this middle category as well. Soooo wanting to throw that thing out the window thanks to my baby who refuses to nurse. Last but not least the I'm so ginormous I can only wear my husband's pjs wardrobe. See, Moms require three wardrobes!!! Don't be jealous!
Currently I am in the middle wardrobe, barely able to button those pants, too. Luckily scouring the thrift store is my fav & I managed to score this dress which meets both requirements for the middle wardrobe. Not too mention super light and comfy. So today I am embracing the middle body.. GO ME!

18 Weeks
I had a doctors appt yesterday. Baby Artoo's heart rate was 150, & he is measuring exactly where he should at 18 weeks. I started feeling tiny flutters about a week ago & now ALREADY, they've already turned into full fledged kicks that make you gasp out loud. Look out bladder!!!!!!! With Mia I craved ice cream & root beer. This time around I can't get enough bagels w cream cheese. I also love love love cranberry or orange juice over crushed ice. I'm sure all of these will be banned from my diet when I do my sugar test in 2 weeks.... I FINALLY feel like myself again , after a horrible first trimester. Hello energy, welcome home:) Mia loves to kiss & hug my belly. She says "Brudder, mama's belly?" Pretty much the cutest thing on the planet, at least until he's born:) Love you Sweet Baby Boy!!!!
