Summer Bucket List

Here are just a few things we are scratching off our list this Summer:)
What's Summer without a trip to the beach?  Alum Creek doesn't exactly have the lovely sands of St. John, but give a girl a bucket & she won't tell the difference:)  We hope to go back a few moere times. It was a tad difficult bc there is no shade for the baby. The sand is so hard it's impossible to anchor your umbrella. Once you turn off Olde State from Polaris Parkway follow the signs to the beach!!  Tip: Get one of those chairs that you can attach your umbrella to!!!!

Special night time trips for Fro Yo & all the toppings in our jammies? YES PLEASE!!!!

Splash Pads.. Easton is an easy one for us. They just built another one especially for the little ones near the American Girl store:). We are excited to check that one out. Scioto Mile Fountains. A friend mentioned the Upper Arlington Splash Pad? We'll have to check that one out.

Rainy Day?? You'll probably find us at Firefly Cafe or the Downtown library (Story time Saturdays at 11am).. The kids area is AWESOME.

Puddle jumping has also been a favorite around here. Just throw on the rain boots and hop to!

Trip to the North Market for breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert!!!!! The Food & Ohio Wine Festival is this weekend!!!

Every Friday from 10a-2p the Columbus Commons hosts Commons for Kids. A variety of fun themed activities including the book mobile for an outdoor story time at 10:30. Couple this with a trip to the Scioto Mile Fountains & it's the perfect day!!  Check out their calender HERE.

The Columbus Audubon Center is a diamond in the rough. Located just outside the brewery district downtown I was a little sceptical when I read a bird sanctuary w miles of hiking trails? Boy was I wrong. It's one of my new favorite places to take the babes, it's FREE & it is easy access.  FYI It's closed on Mondays.

We love Saturday mornings at the Farmer's Market. This list from 2012 looks accurate. Our fav is the Olde Worthington Market.

Slate Run Farm, a working, historical 1800's farm...You could spend several hours interacting with the animals, searching the garden or playing games, think mini stilts!!!!  Our previous visits here & here.

AHA-A Hands on Adventure Located in Lancaster..Seems like it could be a mini Cosi? It's only $5 & they have over 25 different exhibits including a Pretend & Play Vet Clinic, Fishing Boat & Theatre.

We always end the summer with our annual trip to the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival.

Share your favorite Summer Bucket List adventures!!!
