Grange Insurance Audubon Center

When i saw the address for the Audubon Center was downtown, just outside the Brewery District, I was hesitant. Neither Damon nor I are great at navigating downtown . We always get stressed trying to  figure out where to park.  Luckily my new favorite hang out has a GIANT easy access parking lot. Go ahead and bring all the kids, diaper bags, the pump and the double stroller...lol

Don't forget your comfy walking shoes bc there are hiking paths galore & a super cool observation deck over the Scioto River. We saw tons of turtles sunning themselves on the logs, some as small as a half dollar. We didn't make it down to the outdoor play area but we heard there is even a climbing wall.

The center was created bc naturalists realized this strip of downtown was directly in the flight path of many migratory birds. The bird feeders are rigged with speakers so when you're in the library you hear the lovely songs of any birds that might be feeding. So amazing!! The indoor play area has a climbing area that was a little to high for my 2 year old. Instead i kept her entertained by putting on a Robin costume & flying around the room. The other parents ( my husband included thought I was a little odd). Dress up is not just for the babes people!!!
