A Chicago Day

Sara's cousin Elizabeth got married in Chicago this weekend. Lucky for me she needed a date. From Friday Morning until Saturday afternoon I was a free lady while Damon wrangled both babies!!!!  The wedding took place on a cruise of Lake Michigan. We had to stay outside of town near O'Hare bc the Taste of Chicago was going on & hotels were crazy expensive. As soon as I landed we got ready & hopped the L for the hour trip to  Navy Pier.  The wedding was perfect!! We drank champagne, ate cake and even danced a little to Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines!!!  Sara's family was amazing & it was an awesome experience!! I recommend getting married on a boat in Chicago any day!!!!!
After the cruise we left Navy Pier and beelined for Millennium Park. Unfortunately,  due to the river of wine & champagne we consumed at the wedding it took over an hour to find our way. It was a perfect day to stumble around one of our favorite cities:) We admired the buildings, the river & made friends w the locals:) We finally made it and took the required 777 selfies on, in & around the Bean.   I splashed with the littles in Crown Fountain.  All around the park were these giant egg shaped stones w geometric patterns, surely part of some art exhibit? We ended the nite with Chicago style pizza at Giordanos.    Thank you thank you to Sara, one of my bffs, for a magical day!!!
