As they say, the days are long but the months (years) are flying. My sweet angel boy turned 9 months on Sunday, his Pop Pop's 66th birthday. We had a fabulous dinner of stuffed cornish hen, blueberry smothered goat cheese & Sofia Coppola's sparkling white wine. Hejust played contentedly on the floor in true Crushy fashion.
This you took your second road trip, 7 hours to Rochester, for Thanksgiving with daddy's side of the family. Once again you were a perfect angel both directions!!!! While we were there we spent a day at the Strong Museum of Play. SO AWESOME. We can't wait to go again!
When we came home from Rochester we took you & Mia to Timbuk Tree Farm to cut down your 1st Christmas tree. A family tradition in the making!
You weigh 17 lbs 12 oz. We have one concern we will share at your appointment tomorrow. You never stand or bare weight on your legs. Most babies we know can stand with support at 6-8 months. When we try to stand you just have frog legs and crumple to the ground. I mentioned it at the 6 month appt. but the Dr. said you your legs seemed perfectly normal. You jump like a mad man in the bouncer so I know you can push & have good muscle tone. I'm hoping you don't end up needing braces like Forrest Gump?
Wearing 12-18 month clothes. Sleeping like a champion. A baby led weaning update here.
Constantly have your finger in mouth with puddles of drool pouring out. No teeth yet. You've always been snuggily but it melts our hearts that you can still fall asleep on us. A few days ago you started waving at yourself so we have started practicing waving bye-bye. So far you are a breeze to put to bed, smiling dreamily at your musical seahorse every night. Having a little bit of separation anxiety if Nana or Mama walks out of your sight you may scream bloody murder until we come back for cuddles.

Happy 9 months of being a mom of 2! So glad that he's a happy-as-can-be baby.
