18 months

I missed your 17 month update (stupid all day sickness) so these tidbits are from your last 2 months. 18 months is definitely my most favorite age so far. You became this ginormous personality shouting out of this tiny little girl.  You love testing us & had your first time out....followed by many more. Most are for hitting & kicking (which you ask hit? Kick? before you do) & for throwing toys. Your so naughty & mischievous we can't help but laugh at you. So obviously trying to discover as much as you can everyday.

At your Dr's appointment today you weighed 19.8 lbs (10%) & are 34 inches long (25%).  You have all 4 1 year molars,  6 front teeth and lots more coming in between. Teething sucks & you my dear are the slowest teether in the world.  Your naps have really suffered since the beginning of September. Between teething and trying to go from 2 naps to 1, we've been lucky if you sleep an hour. We are working on a new schedule that has you napping after lunch, around 12:30.   Luckily you still sleep thru the nite , 12 hours w/o a peep.

The way you walk & "toddle" around (i totally understand the word toddle now) is seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen. I could watch you for hours.  You try running  & it cracks me up. You're still very uncoordinated, prob b/c you didn't start walking until 15 months. You love opening your designated safe cupboard at Nana's & pulling out all the tupperware. You've started to entertain yourself for longer periods by  cooking in your toy kitchen & playing with Little People sets.

Everyone is amazed by your extensive vocabulary. You say lots of 2-3 word phrases & can pretty much hold a conversation.

You're an expert at animals and are now learning shapes & colors.  What 18 month old walks around saying "triangle' or "octagon"? Just saying...;)  In the morning we usually let you watch these pre-school videos Daddy got from his Groupon obsession. When you see the beginning of Sesame Street you dance, clap & spin like the happiest baby ever.

You ADORE being outside & we try and make sure you get out every day even if just for 30 minutes. You love to swing, slide & explore. You have ears like a and love pointing out, airplanes, helicopters, motorcycles, dogs barking, babies crying... nothing gets passed you.  Daddy takes you to the nature center at Blendon woods & love seeing the snakes, turtles, & catfish.

Mama & Daddy left you with Tachee & Pop Pop for a quick weekend trip to NYC. This was the 1st time we had both been away from you for more then 1 nite. You did great.
We discovered your having a BABY BROTHER!!!! You already point to my belly & give "bru-der" kisses.
