Shutterfly Shout Out

I finally ordered our 2013 scrapbook from Shutterfly & I CAN NOT wait for that orange box to show up on my door step!!! I've mentioned before I used to be a hard core scrapbooker. I literally had thousands of dollars in scrap stuff EVERYWHERE. My office was always covered in half finished pages & glue stick gunk. Then my babies were born. NO time for 5 hour long messy scrap a thons. I discovered the Shutterfly customizable scrap templates & I officially became a digital scrapbooker. It's super easy, way affordable & totally addicting. Here are a few pages from our 2013 adventures.
The book is 12x12 (traditional scrapbook size) and has a scratch resistant hard cover. This year they offered lay flat pages which I'm totally stoked about. I used 299 pictures to create 102 pages. After all my discounts & free shipping it was $130. Barely more then $1 per page. CRAZY TOWN.  Facebook & Instagram have become our family scrapbooks. What happens 30 years from now when those social media outlets have changed? Print your pictures my friends!!!  Let me know if you want help.

Wreath

I found this BEAUTIFUL wreath on the American Crafts Blog. It was created by Ann-Marie Morris, one of AC's in house designers. I just love the paper flowers along the bottom!! I'm thinking baby shower inspiration for sure!!!! Maybe we will get snowed in tomorrow and I can make one. Highly unlikely but always hopeful:)

Happy NSD!!

Yahoo for National Scrapbooking Day! This is a layout I worked on a few months ago but the pic just came from Shutterfly today. Lots of things I love going on here!!

The Pink Paislee Cupid collection.
The beloved strip is the name of this paper and came from the bar code at the bottom...
Another fancy trick.. The red & white polka dot paper was the backing from some Jenni Bowlin products..

I love this picture and I love champagne...

Dear Lizzy

I am loving Lizzy Kartchner! Her Dear Lizzy line just came out and this ribbon is SO YUMMY!!!! I could NOT resist scraplifting her. Check out my inspiration HERE! Just so you know bliss uses chocolate thickers, even though the lighting makes them black. This layout started as a 12x12 but I got stuck. Trimming it down to 8.5 x11 seemed to help!

i really do

As much as i talk about scrap booking and my new office, i don't often post my layouts. That is because I am the worlds SLOWEST scrapper. Projects are few and far between that i actually complete. Whether it is an embellishment, pics or journaling , I am always waiting to finish. The organization of my new office really seems to be helping me! I only worked on this for a week. The colors are so much prettier & it's sraight in real life. i need some tips on taking pics of my projects. Wasn't sure about this JuneBug paper from Basic Grey, but with b&w pics it looks LOVELY!

new project

This long Thanksgiving weekend Damon has been helping me create my scrapping room. On Thursday (Thnxgiving Day!!) Michaels had all their scrap storage 55% off including the Making Memories embellishment center.

I came across this color palette while wedding planning & still think it is gorgeous. I'm thinking that menthe would be perfect for the walls, while incorporating lots of tangerine raspberry & espresso

Maggie Holmes created this gorgeous bunch of poms and lanterns. What a perfect way to incorporate pops of yummy color. I found a GREAT deal on poms at the etsy shop POMLOVE. Some cute and affordable paper lanterns HERE. I also love the large frame collage, so cute!

This was NOT just a weekend for scrapbook rooms and yoga. It was also the weekend of the MAN MOVIE MARATHON. Lethal Weapon, 300, Good Fellas, and Tombstone all made an appearance!!!

HAPPY NSD

Yesterday was National Scrapbook Day!!! No laughing it is a holiday to be celebrated!!!!!! My Grove City Sarah (all 6 months gloriously pregnant of her) came up & we scrapped away the afternoon. We snacked on strawberries, blackberries , listened to the Tim McGraw lastfm station, and made baby logan his first scrapbook page. Some how i ended up with the needle from my sewing machine (it snapped) embedded in my shoulder like shrapnel. At least i have this cute layout to show for it.

Used American Crafts moda bella paper, thickers, Heidi Swapp flowers..Only missing one teal journaling strip..There will be 3 instead of 2 when i figure out how to get our printer working.....

We ended the nite with an Amy's cheesless veggie pizza, SO DELICIOUS ( i had to add a pound of shredded cheddar!!!) & Slum Dog Millionaire.

scrapapolooza

This weekend ROCKED!! On Friday I headed to Hocking hills for 48 hours of uninterrupted, scrapping good times. My horoscope for the day said to splurge so I went to the scrapping store & treated myself to some cute MM embellishments & yummy AC cardstock. I also hit Barnes & Noble to spend my Bday gift card (Thanks Jan & Chris)!!

I worked on 5 pages, which is def a record for me. I used my sewing machine, the cuttlebug, the cricut. I used the old SEI line Winnie's Walls.

Little did i know that there would also be uninterrupted consumption of cakeballs, cupcakes, york peppermint patties, carmel corn, chili, chips. Heaven!!! Thank you Robin & all the CRAZY FUN scrapping ladies for letting me hang! You taught me about TEQUILA (no we didn't drink, LISTEN!) & the no-good, white trash ho.
