Around here we are all in a milk induced coma. It's all about survival and squeezing in mini naps between feedings. Daddy does all the grunt work...cleaning, laundry, poop diapers. He even made us corn bread and cinnamon bread loaves in the shape of rabbits!!! YUM

39 Weeks
So the dates Damon & I guessed for Mia's birthday have passed (Him 4.11 Me 4.14). Here we are still waiting. For the first time I will say I CANNOT get comfortable. Lying or sitting she is just so high, ramming into my ribs. Even the Dr. says she hasn't dropped. It's been so fun to get the weekly Bump emails updating us on her progress. Now I am kind of annoyed because they all say, "Has your baby arrived?" SOON!!!! My mom sends me cute little weekly email updates too. OK little girl, we are so anxious to see your beautiful face. It's time to come out and play!!!!

Wish I was a Carny
I ADORE stories of the old time circuses. I hope to read Water For Elephants before I see the movie. I think I have mentioned Dean Koontz's book Twilight Eyes (1985 baby!!)as being one of my favorites. It's based around a traveling circus too...Remember the Bones episode where Booth & Brennan join the circus?

Damon is actually craving these Apple Peanut Butter Pancakes. he found the recipe on his ipad Simply Organic app:)
Ingredients 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups milk or soy milk 1/2 cup apple juice 3 tablespoons peanut butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 large apple, peeled, cored and chopped 2 tablespoons chopped dry-roasted peanuts Directions In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.In a blender, combine the milk, apple juice, peanut butter, and vanilla and blend until smooth. Pour into the flour mixture, stirring with a few swift strokes until just moist. Fold in the chopped apple and peanuts.Preheat the oven to 200°F. Lightly oil a griddle or non-stick skillet and heat until hot. For each pancake, ladle about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the griddle or skillet. Cook on one side until small bubbles appear on the top of the pancakes, about 2 minutes. Flip the pancakes with a spatula and cook until the second side is lightly browned, about 1 minute longer. Repeat with the remaining batter. Keep the cooked pancakes warm in the oven while preparing the remaining pancakes.

Baby Legs
The baby leg warmer trend is more then just a cute nod to the eighties!! Mamas and Dads that use cloth diapers find that their little cuties cloth swaddled bum doesn't quite fit into that cute 0-3 onesie. So baby leg warmers help keep baby cozy and are convenient for frequent diaper changes. Now I WANT SOME!!!!!!!! I found some yummy ones that are super affordable (in comparison) on Amazon. Planning on ordering these, these & these.
I always think cute little baby accesories like leg warmers would be fun to make, although I'm usually too lazy. My mom is coming over on wednesday to peek at the baby's room and give my sewing machine a tune up. Maybe we will try this awesome tutorial.

Sing To Me
How awesome is it to be able to listen to an album cover to cover? Long before the days of XM Radio and Ipods, we were driven crazy by cassettes. fast forwarding/rewinding took FOREVER. Thankfully my dad had given me this tape in 7th grade (had not quite transitioned to CDs yet). I could happily listen to Paradise by the Dashboard Light, 2 out of 3 Ain't Bad, and every other song on the album for hours!!

Father Daughter Days
Growing up my dad worked at a car dealership so his days off were usually during the week. It wasn't uncommon for me to play hooky from school or spend a summer day hanging with my dad. We were always on the hunt for the newest movies, music & hippie shops. I remember exploring the campus area and finding Magnolia's & Shakedown Street then we would hit Mac's for lunch. A few weeks ago my dad & I played hooky and had a traditional Father-Daughter day.We had a delicious breakfast at German Village Coffee Shop and then hit the Arena Grand for a matinee. We had the theater ALL to ourselves. It was so much fun and I loved the movie. Didn't realize that it was such a love story. It's based on a short story originally released in 1954.
Love spending time with my dad! He is over the moon to meet his granddaughter! Just a few more weeks..
