new project

This long Thanksgiving weekend Damon has been helping me create my scrapping room. On Thursday (Thnxgiving Day!!) Michaels had all their scrap storage 55% off including the Making Memories embellishment center.

I came across this color palette while wedding planning & still think it is gorgeous. I'm thinking that menthe would be perfect for the walls, while incorporating lots of tangerine raspberry & espresso

Maggie Holmes created this gorgeous bunch of poms and lanterns. What a perfect way to incorporate pops of yummy color. I found a GREAT deal on poms at the etsy shop POMLOVE. Some cute and affordable paper lanterns HERE. I also love the large frame collage, so cute!

This was NOT just a weekend for scrapbook rooms and yoga. It was also the weekend of the MAN MOVIE MARATHON. Lethal Weapon, 300, Good Fellas, and Tombstone all made an appearance!!!

thinking of you

The same day Damon had surgery, my Brandi had a nasty surgery on her foot to shorten tendons and ligaments. So tonight I am thinking of her. The BEST FRIEND EVER...

It rocks having D home on the weekends, even if he only has one arm! We watched the game and then saw New Moon.

I loved it. Love the romance, the love triangle..I will spare you Damon's opinion (something about bella being a tease blahblah!!!). I know A LOT of people didn't like this book but it was my favorite. Just so you know it was Kristen Stewarts Favorite too..
I love This & This..

good wife

On Thursday, Damon had surgery to remove a ganglion cyst from his wrist. He is doing better then expected, but still a little sore and uncomfortable. I picked up a few treats on the way home from work last night to help cheer him up.

Love Triangle

George Harrison, Eric Clapton & Pattie Boyd. One of the best music love triangles ever!!! Wonderful Tonight, Pattie's autobiography is filled to the brim with behind the scenes stories of The Beatles & Clapton.. Being passionate about music, hearing the drama that lent the lyrics to songs like Layla, Wonderful Tonight and Something was amazing. I LOVED this book!

Layered Taco Casserole

Dear Mr. DELICIOUS Taco Casserole,

i owe you an apology. I posted this tweet before i had actually tasted you. You were wonderful. I ate you all. I just assumed you would be terrible like most of my other cooking feats. Please accept. I love you!
1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
1 yellow pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 jar chunky salsa

1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen corn, thawed
12 flour tortillas (6 inch)
1-1/2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, divided

HEAT oven to 375°F.
BROWN meat with peppers in large skillet. Return to skillet. Stir in salsa, tomatoes and corn.
SPREAD 1 cup meat mixture onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish; top with 6 tortillas, overlapping as necessary. Cover with layers of half each of the remaining meat mixture and cheese; top with remaining tortillas and meat mixture. Cover with foil.
BAKE 25 to 30 min. or until heated through. Top with remaining cheese; let stand 5 min. or until melted.

I subbed flour tortillas just b/c I like them better. I did not cover the casserole with foil and the tortillas on top got all crispy & yummy!!!!
