Lunch today: Arugula farmers market carrots, green onions and tomatoes, topped with Trader Joe's Goat cheese. For the next two months salads should replace all the yummy cookies, cakes and candies you usually see!!

Wedding Stuff

This was a crazy wedding planning/work week. Work wise I ran from house to house signing clients up & interviewing administrative assistant candidates. Rocking!!

Wedding wise we got A LOT accomplished this week!
Met with AJ from Sassafras Bakery to talk more about our yummy dessert bar!
Ordered wedding bands at the Easton Diamond Cellar & ate YUMMY Five Guys for the 1st time

Set appt for pre-wedding counseling
Canceled appt. b/c of damon's football schedule (sigh)!
First dress fitting at Wendy's Bridal
Found veil on clearance from $200 to $50! Yahoo!
Had linen consultation at Connie Duglin-Who knew table cloths & chair covers could be so fun!
Considered many Honey Destinations 1. Cabo San Lucas 2. Sedona, AZ

I saw this quote on the bulletin board of a client's home today. She is 89 & her husband is 90. He has Alzheimers. I am stealing their Airedale, Charlie Two, and taking him to the groomer on Monday:) I'd want someone to do the same for my Shaguel!

Usually when I go to a bar/club it's with a big group. Now, trying to get my friends to a COUNTRY bar....well that is a whole different story. So while my future hubby was out busting his butt at work on a Saturday night I was hanging pretty much by my lonesome (i did have one girlfriend) with these guys!!

Other weekend highlights included hitting up the bridal expo with brandi. Still searching for a dj, videographer & honeymoon location.

We also attended Mamaw (brandi's gma) "hen" party which consisted of all the "old bitties" (us) getting together & eating cheese and chocolate on toothpicks & gossiping about the "cocks"! lol

I also visited my GC SArah's new baby boy Logan. SO SWEET!!!!

This morning accompanied boy our friends, we headed to La Chatelaine for a yummy french breakfast, then to explore the market. My salmon & cream cheese omelet was tasty! Damon & I both want to try the "french toast next time. Look at my beautiful collection of home grown yummies!!

Now if only I had a cute farmer's market shopping bag/basket!!

So this week we have been indulging. Starting with the first two episodes of the HBO series True Blood. It's very raw, very graphic & possibly addicting! I also discovered the world's greatest cookie sandwich. You can find them too, at Sam's Club!!

Now, I am going to indulge in an early evening siesta while i wait for damon to come from football practice. AAAHHH, I better stop eating all these sweets or a hot bikini body on my honeymoon will not be possible. Hopefully my next blog post will have a title like "restraint" or "self control"!!!

So much is going on. My head is spinning. Time seems to be flying by at warp speed.

This week:

I had delicious sushi at Haiku
I also had a delicious champagne cocktail (OMG sooo good) at haiku
We got TWELVE referrals at work. I was SWAMPED!
We got brandi's maid of honor dress:) Woot!
Watched all the episodes of Defying Gravity (not sure what i thought)
Read half of the Time Traveler's Wife (it is def more raw then I thought it would be)!
Bought brandi sunflowers for her last day working with me.
Woke up at my new residence (D's house) every morning feeling like i am where I should be.
I worked on flower center pieces by pruning peonies!!
Spent 5 seconds wondering who the new bachelor will be? (i vote for Reed)
Tried fudge brownie italian ice at Rita's
Was sad i didn't have birthday cake italian ice at Rita's

This list should be longer but my week was so busy I forget everything.

This week stress has eaten me alive. The week started with a member of our corporate office coming down to see why our hours our down (UMMM do they watch the news??) & ended with the the most hellacious headache ever. You know the one that incapacitates you to the point where all you can do is cry & hide from all sound & light..

So here is to a WONDERFUL , RELAXING WEEKEND filled with love & happiness!!!

We took our first trip to the Worthington Farmer;s Market yesterday. Our goal was a Sassafras Bakery taste test. We discovered another baker, Batter to Bowl, and decided we must compare.

Sassafras- Frosted sugar cookie, Mint Brownie, Dulce de Leche brownie, Cashew Cookie, Smore's cookie

Batter-Frosted sugar cookie, carmel apple muffin, Mexican brownie, lemon bar, & macaroons

The individual winners were the Dulce Brownie & the Carmel Apple Muffin! I recommend hitting the market just for these two yummy treats! I also plan to pick up a gorgeous sunflower bouquet!
