So while the Oscars are recording (more importantly Live on the Red Carpet) d & i headed out for Panera & Barnes & Noble.

i never really make it down the rows, they seem so overwhelming. i love the tables with stacks of books Barnes & Noble think you should read. i literally pick every book from the table to read the back, the first few pages or *gasp* the last sentence..i'm bad! Tonite i lovingly picked up Water for Elephants, The Bell Jar, The Sun Also Rises, 100 Years of Solitude, Why Mars & Venus Collide (i read this one for a while), Bridal Bargains: Secrets to Throwing a Fantastic Wedding on a Realistic Budge. After quenching my addiction i searched for damon in the magazine aisle, thinking i was smart. He fooled me, i found him in the back reading the ENCYCLOPEDIA of Star Trek Ships. lol

Broke Down

Yep, my laptop has totally crapped out on me. My mom said MONSTER viruses have invaded. That was on Monday. The good news??? Instead of spending hours surfing online, i did hours of other stuff.

For example:
MONDAY-4 hours watching mom pin, baste my apron. Then I spent 5 minutes sewing the ruffle on upside down. No time to fix it thanks to 2 hours of the Bachelor. I CAN'T believe Jason sent Jillian home (big mistake, big, HUGE)!!!!!!

TUESDAY- 2 hours at sewing class learning the Satin stitch. 15 minutes talking to Sara about our girls trip to Seattle, Kristen's baby shower & Sabours wedding. 5 minutes trying to make my GPS work & 30 seconds listening to Brandi tell me that 2 big satellites crashed which may explain the cannot acquire satellite message..

WEDNESDAY- 15 minutes buying ANOTHER Mrs. Goodman's cake (the white icing is SO much better). 2 minutes driving my car while eating a big chunk of cake with a spoon. 1.5 hours at Noodles with Amanda catching up on all the gossip. Tofu Pad Thai w/ no peanuts YUM!!!

THURSDAY- 5 minutes driving to the Home & Garden Show with D. 1 minute realizing it doesn't start until next week. 1 hour drinking my frozen Sangria Margarita twist at Abuelos. 2 hours watching Taken w/ Liam Neeson. 20 minutes buying 4 pashmina scarves at the vendor just outside the movie escalator. Nice location!

FRIDAY- 4 hours executing 4 excellent work meetings. 1 hour celebrating Brandi's Employee of the Year award luncheon at La Chatelaine. 1.5 hours finding new sexy boots, a Black House White Market Jacket, an Arden B Top, Express leggings new in the package & SO much more at Plato's' Closet!!!!

i splurged & bought a sewing machine today. According to the guy i bought it from, it rocks. He was a great sales man. i was an easy target as i have been wanting to learn to sew since 2004! All those years of longing, i was a walking time bomb.

Now if only i could afford to buy some fabrics like these , Amy Butler (of course) & cute Paisley from Fabric.com.

loving him

i'm bursting with JOY this morning. NO words to explain. Often it just happens after hanging with my man. Nothing out of the ordinary just waffles & loving banter. Then i leave& realize i can't wait to be with him again. He makes me want to be better, have a family, a BEAUTIFUL life!

On my to-better lizbon list are:
Learning to sew, I want to make, pillows, curtains, an apron & assorted baby
stuff..
Take Photography classes combined with some Photoshop/digital classes..
MORE SCRAPBOOKING please!

weekend fun

Brandi & i watched the 3 Monty babes 4, 2.5 & 9 months. So sweet & snugly. I need one!!!! Took a walk with this CUTIE..Love this Pic.

Met my dad for a morning coffee at Starbux. He got me this AWESOME Jack LaLanne Juicer!! I am so excited to start juicing EVERYTHING. Tasty juice is my FAVORITE!

Grocery shopped at Trader Joe's. I can't believe how much cheaper it was then Whole Foods!! You never know what your going to find at Joe's. The selection is always changing. I just love the whole ambiance! On the menu tonite, Trader Joe's chedder pirogi with sour cream served beside a salad of arugala, baby bellas, broccoli, alfalfa sprouts & Cranberry Walnut & Gorgonzola Dressing..YUM

Also on the menu, Max Payne with Mark Wahlburg. Happy Sunday. It's going to be a GREAT, sunshiny week!

80's lovers

When i was really little i loved The Greatest American Hero. I called him Redman, and often dreamed of flying with him, golden curls blowing in the breeze. I even wrote him a letter asking for a red suit of my very own. Sadly, no response.

As i got older my affection moved on to MacGyver. He was the first man i ever wanted to marry. Any, relationship problems we had, i knew he would be able to solve using his swiss army knife, matches & an eight ball!! Who doesn't love a guy named Angus?

Thank you to Ralph & Angus (ugh) for helping me realize TRUE LOVE does exist!

little things

Yesterday, d & i went shopping for a washer & dryer. Actually the thought of shopping for appliances made my ulcer flare up. So i hung out in the book aisle reading Alan Jackson's(the country singer) wife's biography & admiring the BEAUTIFUL display of cadbury eggs! thanks to my love everything should be delivered tomorrow.

Today, after work i stopped at kohl's & discovered the entire store was 70-80% off. Not really sure why i needed the pink & brown Nike sweatsuit, size 12month or the FUCHSIA capri leggings..but i got em!!!!!.

For dinner i hung out with the TANDOOR Chef. Ever met him?? You can find him in the freezer department of Whole Foods. His Marsala Tiki curry is delicious with some of his Naan (also in the frozen foods) & plain yogurt.

pacers game

This weekend we drove to Indiana to cash in on the Christmas NBA tickets. First stop was Grandma's house. I think she made quite an impression on Damon when the first words out of her 85 year old mouth were, "i'm too smart, too sweet, & too SEXY to be this old!" Don't worry Grandma, we agree.

My aunt spoiled us with AWESOME tickets for our first EVER visit to Conseco Fieldhouse. Ten rows up, center court. What a treat for life long pacer fans. If only i could find my old Reggie Miller Jersey. We stayed at the old Union Station, which is still a working train station. This was neat for my dad b/c he left for Vietnam from that station.

So the Pacers got spanked by the Knicks, but at least Boomer was pretty cool.

I saw THIS recipe on the BHG (better homes & gardens) site. They had me at waffle fry!!! I love mini foods, they are so cute!!

I am tweaking the recipe a little. Using ground turkey seasoned with Worcestershire & cilantro. Adding sharp cheddar. Losing the tomato & adding a pickle. YUM
